WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate approved President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul on Thursday, backing sweeping changes in the medical insurance market and new coverage for tens of millions of uninsured Americans.

Merry christmas, America :)
(and everybody else)

Flossing. Found out what I thought was some herb stuck between molars was a hole large enough for me to see. Explains why I've had a heavy feeling in that areas nerves for a while.

Not ever buying something with nuts in it ever again. Or biting into throat lozenge, Goddamnit, it's got me scared and paranoid, not because of the dentist but the bill and what extra work might appear that needs to be done.

edit: I AM feeling chills when drinking cold or inhaling freezing air, and this definitely got worse/larger after I ate a few hours back. Oh gods.. hope the awesome dentist from last time can get emergency work done on Monday :(

You really can see all the pores on the actors faces, every little hair on Brucie's hairy chest, and Alan Rickman in one of his best roles, in best possible detail.

Now to hunt down the sequel, which is the actual #1 christmas movie, I know at least one of you will agree :)

-

Whoa. Just now figured out my lovely Kurzweil has a step sequencer so I can enter notes perfectly maunally. I can stop working out what to spend 200€+ on next and just make music now. This is great!

I've got a fever and cowbell can't cure it so just in case it's something bad and I become history - If you would like me to haunt you when I enter the after-life, comment on this post and if you'd like the haunting done in a special way.

---

And here's a five questions meme, you comment and say you want five questions, I give you them, you post this in your journal with the answers. These questions came from Lisa, I'm too lazy to write your entire name out~

Q: 1- Why is Sweden so much better than the US? I mean, what factors cause
this state :p

A: The women!

Q: 2- Play Eternal Sonata yet? I highly recommend it if you like music + game :D

A: I've read about it and seen some videos, is it on the PS3 now? Because I'm selling things off and I'm highly considering an expensive christmas gift..

Q: 3- If you had 3 wishes for yourself, what would you wish for? (no wishing for more wishes) If you had 3 wishes for other people, what would you wish for

For me, it would be a healthy body that would never fall ill ever again. Then being a lucky bastard with a lot of contacts. Then getting an apartment in Göteborg, Sweden, because I want to start over in a new city. You know, New Game+ mode. For other people, Liberté, égalité, fraternité. They need it.

Q: 4- Why are some people cat people and others dog people? (For that matter, how does ANYBODY become a spider person? [barring spiderman]

It's personality, image, priorities and wishes. A lot of people with dogs get them because they want to buff up their image, and you know what kind of people those are. Some people just love dogs, and some people *really* love dogs. You get a cat because you want a warm bundle of love for company, a tiny beautiful person that makes you smile, that doesn't need to go outside, that doesn't bark or howl or make human sounds for no reason. I am an every-man. If I'd been able to move more freely and lived in a larger place, I'd get a dog, would make great company for jogging and running or just playing with in a nearby field. My current situation, mostly stationary or resting, is perfect for a cat. There are spider people, just like there are rat people and horse people, but that's something I want to study further.

Q: 5- *Tries to think of a philosophical question* If I have a box, does it have a cat in it?

*philo-counter* Does the box have a cat, or does the cat have the box?

Saw an old classmate from 7th-9th grade today, had not seen him since we left school. How was I able to tell it was him? Because the only difference was that his face looked slightly older.

Like the classmate I last saw in fourth grade before she changed schools. Perfectly identical to her old self, just had an older face. And a bigger chest. Slightly.

I suspect that they're still living with their parents, what other explanation could there be for not changing in 15+ years? Wearing the same clothes they wore in school, and outdoors clothes?

For the money I make on the sales I'm going to get a PS3 in preparation for FF13 :)

I believe in learning things the hard way. Photography I began with using fully manual cameras where I had to judge the light settings and distance by eye, and I became, dare I say it, pretty goddamn good and gifted in getting things right. Music I began barely able to tell arse from elbow, and now I'm learning classical piano and organ songs at a refreshing rate. I think this method of learning might be worth spreading, to make do with what you've got, but on purpose. The game Modern Warfare 2 I began playing online using only a single pistol for a weapon, it was me against infinite numbers of other people who used everything from sniper rifles to shotguns to heavy machine guns to javelin imssiles, and I am now a superbly skilled pistol user despite the odds.

My most recent plan is to sell my fun plastic modules called Electribes, that handle the sequencing of my Kurzweil (ie the order of the notes and how hard they sound and everything), just so I will be forced to learn the internal sequencer in the Kurzweil proper, so I can take a few steps away from simple electronic music and into the professional league where I press record and play along with the song, adding layer upon layer of instruments with no note-per-beat control like with other sequencers.

This is like I'm punching myself in the balls and loving it. It is a severe handicap for creating songs - and I've only created one this year - until I master it, but when I know the ins and outs I will be way up there man, way up.

I often say "be kind to yourself", "treat yourself to something nice", but let's be honest.. every now and them we all need a little rough treatment, right? A little spoke in our wheels, a nut in the cake, a boil on the bum.

Go forth and prosper.

I just found the worst thing ever.

You get in an accident. Everybody thinks you're in a coma, but you're fully conscious. You try to scream, but you can't make a single sound, much less move because of your injuries. You lie awake and unable to make contact for 23 years, until a brain scan is run and it's found that you're not in a coma, but completely paralysed.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-27083_3-10403861-247.html

In Germany alone each year some 100,000 people suffer from severe traumatic brain injury. About 20,000 are followed by a coma of three weeks or longer. Some of them die, others regain health. But an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 people a year remain trapped in an intermediate stage--they go on living without ever coming back again.

Sweet dreams.

The best way to take control of a habit that requires finances to be used is to take away your ability to spend.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm jonesing pretty bad for chocolate right now, having given all money away for safe keeping in mother's account - definitely going to do the same thing for December.

Maybe therapy would be to associate chocolate with what is necessary for me to procure some right now? 10-15 minute walk, recycling bottles and using the money from that (might be an EU only thing) to get it.

If I keep at it that way, when I think chocolate I will think of a long walk, and a long walk with my bad legs and back means terrible pain, maybe that will help me lose the craving that exists or at least get it closer to my goal - once a week?

I'm just happy it's not alcohol I'm into, my liquor cabinet has enough to make an elephant forget.

For one week, before going to bed, I have successfully done 15 situps (proper ones) and 15 pushups (the deal deal) without my muscles objecting to it by treating me with hot dagger jabbing-pains that lasts for weeks, and I am going to continue with it, all according to my plans.

What gets me is that I can't play Warhammer Online or other games, type for long periods of time, play music much and two minute walk is enough to give me lasting leg pains, but I can do these simple workouts daily?

Doesn't make sense. Much. But at least I can do a little something to lose weight and build muscles now.

It's like I'm a cake, white cream, beige breading with black chocolate coating (hat, shoes, gloves). Going by the people downtown it was friendly for the eyes, and I was the only one not wearing all black. C'mon Swedes, the year I shape up and start wearing colours all the time you have to turn heel and do what I did?

(and is almost exactly the noise the MRI machine made yesterday, scary. Old synthesizer going through filter parameters, and yes it's crazy fun to twiddle about and find new sounds like that)

THIS HOLE WAS MADE FOR ME.

MRI trip-report:

Holy shit that's loud and potentially terrifying. It also made my right thumb twist and twiddle uncontrollably. Also it was definitely not made for big-boned muscular bodies like mine.

e: Early this morning, before the MRI, I suddenly got all wobbly, entoxicated like, couldn't stand straight - for no reason! It stopped after a while and was replaced by a nasty pain behind my right eye. Now the pain behind and above the right eye is back and piercingly bad. I need my head checked up.

This birthday was spent taking it easy with my parents, and schwartzwald cake, for a couple of hours. Talking, eating, being together in a relaxed atmosphere.

And you know what? That's as much of a gift that I can ask for. Being with the two most important people to me, after myself. I'm happy.

As long as I can afford Modern Warfare 2 on the tenth, that is. And I don't want to jinx it so I won't bring it up but I might get out of this financial situation - it's all up to my old man's talking power now.
-
Got one of those zen-like sensations again, where I feel that right here, right now, things are fine. Wish I could share.

Over the month of October I've saved all the spam I've received to my gmail account. Something must have happened because there's only been 226 of them? Expected over 400, going by earlier in the year.

Plenty of Engrish infested site links, a few trojans and shills. The offers of cheap medication I understand because most of it comes from US sources, but can't they focus? I'd like a good source of the stuff in Europe, or national so I won't have to bother with customs. Another spam thing I'll never understand is penis enlargement. I've been with women so tight I've had trouble walking afterwards, I've thrown hotdogs down hallways, I'm average sized, I do not want or need a bigger piece, it gives me enough trouble as it is. Ever wonder why some guys wear their pants way high? Now you know!

But then again, there is that bigger is better mentality over there. Be it pricetags or bodyparts.

e: Another thing, all the viagra/cialis spam? Research indicates young men, mostly in-crowd party brats use it. Perfectly healthy people. Now risking (and dying) from complications from erectile dysfunction medication they weren't tried for and don't need. A man who hasn't encountered the phenomena called whiskey dick is not an experienced man.

*clicks Delete All Spam Messages*
Ah, bliss.
